APRIL

April 8 – Easter Parade
Location: Point Pleasant
Time: Line up at 10 a.m. / Parade at 11 a.m.
Details: Parade route is from Point Pleasant High School to Piggly Wiggly

April 15 – Bunny Run 5K - Fun Run/Walk
Location: The Meeting House in Point Pleasant
Time: 9 a.m.
Details: Pre-register by April 1st. Teams of five or more pre-register. Day of registration is from 8-8:45 a.m. Run/Walk starts at 9 a.m. $35 per person. Prizes will be awarded. Event is sponsored by the GFWV Point Pleasant Junior Women’s Club.

April 22 – Ladies’ Hat/ Accessories Seminar
Location: Fort Randolph at Krodel Park
Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

MAY

May 6 & 7 – Antique Gas Engine Show
Location: WV State Farm Museum, 1458 Fairground Road
Time: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Details: Exhibits of working saw mill, displays of small engines and antique tractors, over 30 historic buildings and numerous other exhibits. Saturday (May 6): Antique & Farm Tractor Pull at 1 p.m.  Sunday (May 7): Church services at 9 a.m. and a Gospel Sing at 1:30 pm.  Museum Country Kitchen and Country Store open. Camping is available. Admission is free.

May 19 - Shanty Boat Night at the River Museum
Location: Point Pleasant First Church of God, 2401 Jefferson Avenue

May 19-21 – 18th Annual Siege of Fort Randolph
Location: Fort Randolph at Krodel Park
Time: Gates open at 9 a.m. each day
Friday (May 19): School tours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gates close at 5 p.m.
Saturday (May 20): Demonstrations and frontier life skills in Fort and nearby Indian village, 9 a.m. to noon; trade blanket shopping, 9 to 11 a.m.; flag raising at 10 a.m.; Magistrate Court at 12:30 p.m.; “The Siege of Fort Randolph, The Death of Cornstalk” Outdoor Drama at 2 p.m. Admission fee for drama is $3.00 for adults, children 6 and under are free; Running the Gauntlet at the Indian Village at 3 p.m., following by an Auction at 4 p.m., (This is an auction of items donated by the re-enactors. The public is welcome to attend.). Gates close at 5 p.m.
Sunday (May 21): Gates open at 9 a.m.; Church service at 10 a.m. Gates close 2 p.m. Gift Shop open during Fort hours.

Details: Line up at North end of Main Street. Event is sponsored by the Mason County AMVETS Post 2.

June 10 – 1st Annual Bikes & BBQ

Location: Downtown Point Pleasant
Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Details: Backyard BBQ Cook-off and Bike Tour of Mason County. Enjoy some of the area’s best home cookin’ and take a ride through the beautiful countryside of Mason County. Bike rides - 42 mile, 20 mile and 6 mile options. BBQ Cook-off - BBQ teams $50.00, ride and eat $25.00, taste and vote $5.00. Also, live music. Presented by Point Pleasant Parks and Recreation and Point Pleasant Bike Trail.

June 29 - July 1 – 27th Annual Point Pleasant Regatta  

Location: Point Pleasant Riverfront Park, Main Street, Tu-Endie-Wei State Park

Time: Morning & Evening Activities

Details: 5K Run; Pageants; Pretty Bay Contest; Free Concerts; Kids Day with free games and activities. Parade on Saturday, July 1 at 11 a.m. Line up begins at 10 a.m. at the old Board of Education building. Fireworks Saturday evening. The Regatta is an alcohol-free event.

July 24 – River Museum’s Annual Belle of Cincinnati Dinner Cruise  
Location: Point Pleasant Riverfront Park
Time: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Details: The Point Pleasant River Museum is bringing back an evening to remember, reminiscent of the days of the early excursion boats. As the Belle of Cincinnati travels on the beautiful Ohio River, a delicious buffet-style meal will be served and the well-known local singer, Joey Wilcoxon, will be entertaining, furnishing music for dancing or just listening. The cruise is 2 1/2 hours long, leaving the dock at Point Pleasant's Riverfront Park at 7 p.m. Guests need to board by 6:30 p.m. Photographer is available for pictures. Boat has four decks, two of which are accessible by elevator, and one is walk-on. Handicap accessible to wheelchairs and scooters. Tickets are $50.00 for adults and children ages 4-12 are $25.00.
